While I wasn't able to replicate the exact issue you've described, I can see that your site does require a lot of memory to run. For this reason, I'd like to start with the basics and rule out any issues with your browser. To do that, can you open a Chrome Incognito window. Once there, let me know if you are able to add images or if Chrome freezes. If it freezes stop but don't close or hard quit the browser, we will want to gather more details.
